WHAT IS SUPERVISION IN INTEGRATIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY?
Professional supervision in integrative psychotherapy is a professional activity carried out in the form of a training internship, conducted by the practicing psychotherapist with a license for supervised practice who is in a contractual relationship with a principal psychologist or specialist certified by the College of Psychologists in Romania, for the purpose of training and developing professional competencies adapted to integrative psychotherapy.
The status of supervising psychologist grants the principal/specialist psychologist the right to supervise the activities of practicing psychologists under supervision, in line with the competencies they need to develop.
WHO IS IT ADDRESSED TO?
Supervision courses are aimed at all those interested in practicing the profession of integrative psychotherapist and it is a mandatory step in exercising the profession, according to law 213/2004.
The certificate of practicing psychologist under supervision in integrative psychotherapy is obtained from the College of Psychologists in Romania, after obtaining a degree in psychology (or related fields: philosophy, sociology, social work, special educational psychology, medicine, theology) and completing the basic training in integrative psychotherapy.
After obtaining the license for supervised practice, the practicing integrative psychotherapist can carry out activities circumscribed by general and specific competencies, only under supervision, within a legal framework for practicing the profession of psychologist.
STRUCTURE OF PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISION COURSES
The courses take place in the form of group supervision seminars and individual supervision that ensure the progression of the psychotherapeutic process, in which client cases are presented and analyzed alongside the work of the supervised psychotherapist.
