Camps: Personal development

The specialization camps are part of the training program and are accredited accordingly.

You can enroll in any of them and participate to the extent that you wish.

The number of places is limited and is filled upon registration and payment of the deposit or the full fee for the respective event, until the number of places is complete.

For those who wish to experience what an Integrative Psychotherapy Camp means, the ARPI organizing team invites you to go through the following together Integrative Events from the year 2022.

This form of therapy involves a specific group dynamic and an interaction of participants in other work settings than those we are used to in training.

The camps will have a residential program (living and working together).

The work program is specific to residential camps.

  • Period: July 20-24, 2022
  • The theme of the camp is: Trauma psychotherapy and body work
  • Trainer: Dr. Coralina Chiriac
  • Location: in the mountains

In short, we will work on cognitive processing and emotional integration of life events that have a negative impact on the person: separations, traumatic breakups and divorces, professional burnout, emotional neglect and psychological or physical abandonment, domestic violence, pathological grief, medical interventions or accidents, physical and psychological assaults or abuses, etc.

Trauma psychotherapy is indicated in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or "post-traumatic stress," meaning the delayed psychological reaction with a strong impact that can be triggered by experiencing events with a traumatizing imprint from a physical, sexual, psychological, or moral perspective.

We will address the cases you have in progress, including from the perspective of Neuroscience, so that you can find new and effective methods to help your clients with trauma or PTSD.

  • Period: August 29 – September 02, 2022
  • The theme of the camp is: Couple and psychosexuality. Methods and techniques used in integrative psychotherapy
  • Trainer: Dr. Gina Chiriac
  • Location: at the sea

In the 5 days of the camp, Dr. Chiriac will work intensively and practically on therapeutic frameworks that bring profound transformations to the participants and at the same time valuable tools for you to use in your practice with your patients.

Moreover, because there are usually over 50 participants in the camp, they generally have an interesting and different dynamic, and in this way, you can have a model of how to work with groups in organizations.

Here are the topics you will work on at the camp:

  • managing conflicts in couples
  • expressing personal needs and negotiating them in couples
  • attachment patterns of partners and couples and their influence – the dynamics of sexual life
  • identifying and bringing to conscious awareness the beliefs inherited from parents and society regarding sexual life.
  • techniques for improving the sexual life of the couple you are part of
  • the influence of tantric and Taoist methods in contemporary European culture and their influence on personal belief systems and those of our patients - a comparative approach
  • how to feel comfortable as psychotherapists and how to address sexual issues in the psychotherapy office when we have a client with such problems
  • working with transference and countertransference in these cases
  • psychotherapeutic treatment of patients who have experienced trauma and have sexual issues
  • applications of Ericksonian hypnosis, relaxation techniques, breathing and energizing techniques, somato-therapy techniques.
  • elements of neuroscience in couple therapy

Below, you will find some testimonials from your colleagues from last year's camp so that you have a clearer picture of the results that participants achieve as a result of their participation:

“I thank you with all the gratitude I can feel at this moment in my life! Thank you for the love, support, containment, kindness, and joy that I have received! Thank you Gina for existing, for guiding my steps on the path of transformation. I died with fear, worries, helplessness, despair and I was reborn in love, in beauty, in abundance. I am extraordinarily happy because I have such a big and wonderful family, alongside whom I allowed myself to be and I allowed myself to feel. I love you and I cherish you!

Mirela”

“I am glad I made the choice to participate in this camp, I went through many emotions, of joy, sadness, anger, happiness, I laughed, I cried in meditation, I connected to my early memories, I went through waves of light and brilliance and I met my beautiful soul in meditation!

I am very grateful to Gina and the group for accepting me as I am, I felt them beside me and I had the confidence to open up and expose myself to them, in all my nakedness!

It was an experience with a great emotional charge, I discovered what a therapeutic touch means in the working frameworks, I identified the tons of limiting beliefs by which I lead my life, the cages in my life and most importantly, the cross I wear around my neck, a symbol of my connection to the past, to the known, to the comfort I do not want to give up but as a gesture of rebirth in my new life, I will take it off and set it aside!!

Thank you Gina and the ARPI group!!

Carmen”

“I am grateful for this camp, for the energy of this group, for each of you, for allowing myself to feel, even though there were some painful moments (from which I emerged stronger in my vulnerability) and I am grateful to GINA (Gina, I love you.) I have reconnected with the safety framework within ARPI after a period of ‘wandering’ through the world and I feel like an adult who has his own life, other experiences, however, upon returning to the family fold, finds LOVE, ACCEPTANCE, and the SUPPORT needed to be a better person. I felt sadness, pain, fear, anger, the need for validation, acceptance, and to be seen, and in the end, all of these were wrapped and dissolved by joy and love. I feel a lot of gratitude!

Thank you! Elena, from the ARPI family!”

  • Period: October 31 – November 4
  • The theme of the camp is: The Hero's Journey – shadow and archetypes. Rewriting the personal story and working with the mythical in psychotherapy.
  • Trainer: Dr. Coralina Chiriac
  • Location: in the mountains

In this camp, we will go deep within ourselves, to rediscover our power and to embrace who we are, in all the complexity of our personality, without having to excuse ourselves or pretend that we are invisible or non-existent.

We will explore together experientially, through integrative intervention techniques, how we generate the mythical in our practice, the stories we tell, and the archetypes we express from our life.

The hero's journey is a theory developed by Joseph Campbell and focuses on the initiatory journey that each of us undertakes, similar to the mythological one, which follows the life of the hero who leaves the known world, goes through trials and obstacles, reaches revelations, and obtains the ‘elixir of life’ to return home with it and to improve his life and that of his peers.

Archetypes are manifestations that come from the collective unconscious and that we embody. The concept of archetypes was first formulated by Carl Gustav Jung. He discovered that people have "a pre-conscious psychological predisposition that causes a person to react in a certain way".

The Shadow is the unacceptable part of ourselves. It represents the sum of those parts of us that we condemn, deny, evaluate as inferior, and push into the unconscious. It is created from all those personal aspects that we do not love, that we are ashamed of or afraid of, from tendencies or thoughts that seem unacceptable to us, or for which we feel guilty. It contains all those psychological aspects of our being, including the bright ones, that we hide from others and from ourselves.
